ALBANY -- David Grandeau, Troy's former city manager, has taken a leave of absence from his position as executive director of the Temporary State Commission on Lobbying.
Grandeau, whose aggressive management style was legendary in Troy, has served since November 1995 as head of the agency that for 22 years has withered under a ``temporary'' title.
In April, the commission granted Grandeau a leave of up to one year from the $92,000-a-year post to pursue a private business venture with Sage Networks in Albany, commission spokeswoman Jeannine Clemente said. The leave began in May, she said.
