NSW: 18 survivors still in hospital after Waterfall crash
SYDNEY, Feb 1 AAP - Eighteen people - two in a critical condition - remain in hospitalafter yesterday's train crash south of Sydney, the NSW Department of Health said today.
A total of 41 people were admitted to six Sydney hospitals and Wollongong Hospitalafter the accident, the department said in a statement today.
The number of hospitalised victims has been revised down from yesterday's 42.
The two critical patients are being treated at the Prince of Wales Hospital and atSt George Hospital.
Patients also remain in Sutherland, St Vincent's, Liverpool and Nepean hospitals.
Four patients were discharged yesterday from Wollongong Hospital.
A commuter train crashed yesterday on the Illawarra line, near Waterfall station, killingeight people including the train driver.
