US Dollar Mixed, Gold Up

LONDON - The U.S. dollar was mixed against other major currencies in European trading Monday morning. Gold rose.

The euro traded at $1.4410, down from $1.4416 late Friday in New York.

Other dollar rates:

-114.47 Japanese yen, up from 114.11

-1.1632 Swiss francs, down from 1.1639

-0.9597 Canadian dollars, down from 0.9617

The British pound was quoted at $2.0590, up from $2.0549.

Gold traded in London at $791.50 per troy ounce, up from $777.80 late Friday.

Gold opened at $788.05 an ounce in Hong Kong, up from Friday's close of $776.15.

In Zurich, gold traded at $790.80, up from $777.80.

Silver opened in London at $14.35, up from $14.17.
